Moon in "Stereo"
Images of the Moon taken simultaneously on Maui by Rob Ratkowski and in Utah by Patrick Wiggins at 0900 UT on 2010 SEP 23. Both taken through C-5 telescopes.
Purpose of the experiment was to see if we could use the images to see the Moon in stereo. But most agree that with the Moon nearly 405,000 km away at the time and the distance between the cameras only 4,800 km any stereoscopic effect is just an optical illusion.
