Regulas A&B
Observed the multiple star system in Regulus. This is based on a sketch made at the scope and was created digitally using the free program GIMP. XT8 and a 13mm and 5mm EP was used with a 2x Barlow. Transparency was estimated at a 3/5 and Seeing as a 6/10 (still working on that). After observing this item I researched this after coming in. It lies 77.5 LY from Earth and the spectroscopic binary Regulus A consists of a blue-white main sequence star and its companion which has not yet been directly observed, but is probably a white dwarf star. Located further away is the pair Regulus B and Regulus C, which are dim main-sequence stars.
