Lakeside10-30-2014

My setup at Lakeside, morning of 10-30-2014; waiting for enough brightening to take flats. (It was a bit darker than it looks here.) I prefer this site because it's only about an hour from Salt Lake City yet is quite dark. The big negatives about it are that sometimes it hosts parties when I want to astroimage, sometimes the dust is hideous, and if the soil is wet it could be a quagmire. The short dirt road to the site is badly rutted, which doesn't bother my Jeep but would be a drawback for most cars. I like the far end, shown here, because there's lots of room to maneuver -- I need to drive around to get the telescope and other equipment unloaded conveniently.
