Sun with sunspots, Olympus D-460 zoom digital camera, at 3X Used afocally with a 50mm f/9 refractor & 26mm home-made Plossl eyepiece.  03 JUN 2002

002 to 009 Some shots of the new (04 JUN 2002) parallelogram.

Rich Tenney is acting as model, and holds the arm assembly for the all-wood version.

Things to note:

The design has a full 180-degrees of pan available, right at the binocular.  No need to walk around the mount to pan.  This makes it perfect for chair or lounge observing.  The tripod is recycled from a garage-sale refractor.  The telescope yoke was removed, and the parallelogram yoke substituted.

Woodworking tools only were used on the mount.
