International Astronomy Day
The Salt Lake Astronomical Society, Clark Planetarium and the University of Utah have formed a copartnership to really bring "Astronomy to the People!". Join in activities such as solar viewing, lectures and demostations on telescopes, the constellations, the size of the solar system, etc. Guest speakers include former astronauts Don Lind and the Honorable Jake Garn. Children's activities, vendors, information booths, door prizes and a fun day for all ages!

Morning (11 a.m.) to mid-afternoon (2 p.m.) activities will be held at Library Square Plaza outside the South entrance doors of the Main Salt Lake City Library, 210 East 400 South. Mid-afternoon (3 p.m.) to evening (7:15 p.m.) activities will be held at the Clark Planetarium, 110 South 400 West.
Evening Public Star Party to be held at the Stansbury Park Observatory Complex (SPOC) starting at 9:00 p.m. |
