STAR PARTY CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC
The Salt Lake Astronomical Society invites you to join us at a FREE public Star Party or Sun Party! Enjoy views of the Sun, Moon, Planets, Stars, Nebulae, and Galaxies through some of Utah’s largest telescopes. And today, celebrate Astronomy Day with your family, friends, or neighbors!
Star Parties are from dusk until 9PM Apr & Oct,
10PM May & Sep, 11PM Jun-Aug.
Sun Parties are from 9AM – Noon.
Come a bit early to speak with one of our members about telescope setup and use. |

The Stansbury Park Observatory Complex (SPOC), is located in Stansbury, UT. Exit I-80 onto UT-36 South. Continue until you reach Stansbury Parkway. Turn west and proceed until you see signs for "Observatory" and "Plaza" in the center median. Park near the skateboard park. SPOC is just a short walk west from the parking lot, and is adjacent to the lake front.
