Public Star Party - Saturday, May 09, 2015
Description: Time: Dusk-10:00PM
Cost: Free

The public is invited to join members of the Salt Lake Astronomical Society for a night under the stars. The observatory's three large telescopes will be open to the public. SLAS members will have additional telescopes of all shapes and sizes available as well. Come see distant galaxies that are millions of light years away. See nebula, star clusters, and more. Learn about the constellations and star-lore that connect each of us to the night sky.

This event is family friendly (ages 3 to 99).

Star Party Tips:
* Keep cell phones, lights, or other bright devices turned off. This helps preserve night vision.
* Follow all safety signs and telescope operator instructions.
* This is an outdoor activity. Dress appropriately and wear mosquito repellent (apply away from telescopes).
