General Meeting - Wednesday, July 16, 2014
Description: July General Meeting 7:00-9:00 PM
John Armstrong with the Astronomy & Physics Dept. at Weber State will be giving a presentation on:

"The field of exoplanets is exploding, with new discoveries happening on an almost daily basis. The task now at hand is to determine if any of these new worlds are habitable. I will discuss the Virtual Planetary Laboratory’s effort to characterize exoplanets and explore how changes in the orbital environment of the planet - such as dramatically altering its tilt - can increase the range of habitability. I will also survey the sometimes bizarre new planets being discovered in the Kepler database."

Join us in this fascinating presentation.
Location: University of Utah Warnock Eng Building Room 105
